OUR STORY
Interior Design Grounded in Real Renovation Experience
Indigo Day Designs is an interior design + home renovation studio serving Castle Rock, Castle Pines, and South Denver.
I'm Jane Norris, founder and principal designer of Indigo Day Designs.
I started my career in interior design in Los Angeles and moved to Colorado nine years ago. Today I run the studio from Castle Rock, where I'm raising my daughter and doing the work that means the most to me — designing homes and running the renovations that bring them to life.
When I walk into a home for the first time, I rarely see one room in isolation. I look at how spaces connect, where the eye travels, what feels out of proportion, and how a home supports the way a family actually lives. That way of seeing is what makes the difference between a house full of good choices and a home that feels complete.
Clients tell me they appreciate that I'll tell them when something isn't working — and help them see the solution. Design is a conversation. Everyone brings something to it. My job is to bring the training, the experience, and the clarity so we end up with a home that feels distinctly yours.

The Story Behind Indigo Day Designs
Most homeowners have a renovation they've been putting off for years. Not because of the cost — because of the process.
They don't want to manage contractors, make hundreds of decisions under pressure, or watch a renovation take over their life.
What most don't realize is that someone can step in and lead the entire process for them.
That's why I created Indigo Day Designs.
Beautiful design is the beginning of what I do — not the extent of it. I develop the construction drawings. I work with contractors to obtain bids. I source and purchase every material before demolition begins. I coordinate the schedule, solve problems as they come up, and make the timely decisions that keep the renovation moving forward. Throughout construction, I stay closely involved so the design is executed with the same care and standard we established from the beginning.
Not every project needs that full scope. Some clients want me to lead the entire renovation; others already have a contractor they trust and want me focused purely on the design. Both are welcome. What matters is that we shape the engagement around what your project actually needs.
Whatever the scope, my commitment is the same: protecting your time, your investment, and the outcome we designed together.
What This Means for You
You get a designer who's fully invested in the outcome — not just the drawings.
If you want me to lead the entire renovation, I do. Every phase. Every trade. Every detail.
If you already have a contractor you trust and want me focused purely on the design, I bring that same level of care to the plan itself — every drawing, every specification, every finish considered in the context of how it will actually be built. You get a designer whose thinking goes deeper because I know what construction requires.
Either way, you get honest guidance, a protected investment, and a home that feels distinctly yours in the end.
Ready to Talk About Your Home?
Every project starts with a 90-minute in-home consultation ($500). A working meeting, not a sales call. We walk your home together, talk about what you're hoping to accomplish, and follow up within a week with a written proposal tailored to your project.
